Is a Soulmate Sketch a Scam?

- Is the full price shown before checkout? You should know exactly what you're paying before entering card details.
- Is it one-time or a subscription? Some soulmate sketch apps bill weekly. App store reviewers in this category have reported being charged after trying to cancel, so read the billing terms carefully.
- Are there upsells after checkout? Many sellers offer add-ons like extra readings. They're optional. Read each one before clicking.
- Is there a clear refund policy? Find it before you buy. If you can't find one, treat that as your answer.
- Does it promise guaranteed accuracy? A "100% accurate" claim is a red flag. Nobody can verify a drawing against a person you haven't met.
- Are reviews only on the seller's own site? Look for independent opinions too: app store ratings, forums, and Reddit threads give a more balanced picture.
Warning signs to walk away from
- Pressure tactics, like countdown timers that reset when you reload the page.
- Requests for sensitive personal information beyond your birth date and basic preferences.
- Claims that something bad will happen if you don't buy.
- No contact information or support email.
What if I already paid and want a refund?
Start with the seller's support contact and their stated refund policy. If you paid through an app store, you can request a refund through Apple or Google directly. If you paid through a digital marketplace, the marketplace usually has its own refund process too. For recurring charges, cancel the subscription in your app store account settings, since deleting the app doesn't cancel billing.
